From the time Xavier was little, we knew he experienced the world differently. He explored everything with his hands, taking toys apart just to see how they worked, studying objects with a focus far beyond his age. By 19 months, he had already begun speech therapy, and eventually we learned he is Level 3 autistic and nonverbal, with sensory and regulation needs that shape his everyday life. But those words don’t define him. Xavier is curious, bright, and endlessly inventive — a tiny engineer who loves cooking, making tea, and reverse‑engineering anything he can get his hands on.
Today, Xavier is a joyful, determined little boy who learns through movement, touch, and deep concentration. He thrives when routines are predictable and transitions are gentle, but the world can still become overwhelming for him. Public places can be hard for him. Not because he doesn’t want to be there, but because the sensory load and unpredictability make it difficult for him to stay regulated. We see how much he wants to explore, connect, and interact with peers, and we also see how much easier that becomes when he has steady, responsive support. A trained partner could help him stay grounded in busy environments, give him confidence during outings, and make it possible for him to participate more fully in the world around him.
We dream of giving Xavier more access to his community and more opportunities to explore the world he’s so eager to understand. With the right support, he could enjoy more outings, feel safe approaching new experiences, and build the confidence he needs to interact with other children.
