Your 2015 Cleveland Scene Best Charity

March 25, 2015

It's been 11 years since animal trainer Wendy Nelson-Crann and former special education teacher Ed Crann teamed up to form W.A.G.S. 4 Kids. The awesome organization (full name: Working Animals Giving Service for Kids) trains and places service dogs with disabled children, providing them with the support and loyal canine companionship that can have such a positive impact on their lives.

Now, the charity that Berea grew is all grown up and the city if Cleveland has taken notice. W.A.G.S. 4 Kids is readers' choice (that means - chosen by you!) for the honor of Cleveland Scene Magazine's 2015 Best Charity. The 'Made In Cle' theme of this year's issue makes it even more special to the staff and volunteers of W.A.G.S., proud to call Berea home.

"Wow! We've been inspired and supported by our community since our small beginnings 11 years ago." Says Nelson-Crann, "Long before we were the charity that Cleveland grew, we were the charity that called Berea home. We couldn't be more grateful for this honor. That the people chose us makes it even more special."

Everyone at W.A.G.S. 4 Kids would like to thank their community. The best is yet to come!
