Daveyah Lowe is a happy, energetic 7-year-old. She was born at 24 weeks gestation, overcoming multiple complications. She is a fighter! She was placed in my home as a foster child and became a permanent member of our family on January 31, 2020, through adoption.
When she was 2-years-old she was diagnosed with Dandy Walker Syndrome. As a result of this syndrome Daveyah has developmental delays. This hasaffected her ability to eat speak, and learn at an age appropriate level. Her biggest difficulty is with ambulation. She is able to walk but does so with a very unsteady gait. She could benefit greatly from the gentle guidance of a service animal. She is excited about the prospect of receiving a dog.
Daveyah is such a caring girl, always caring about others feelings. She is the first one running to the freezer to grab an ice pack ifsomeone gets hurt. If you are crying she is hugging you and crying along with you. Daveyah attends classes in a school for special needs children. Her teachers always say that she is their biggest helper.
