The 1st Annual Grindstone Charity Classic Showcase
May 31, 2014 at Berea-Midpark High School Baseball Field to benefit W.A.G.S. 4 Kids
Berea, OH – April 14, 2014 – We are excited to welcome you to attend the 1st Annual Grindstone Charity Classic Showcase (GCC) to be held on Saturday, May 31, 2014 from 9AM to 3PM at BEREA MIDPARK H.S. BASEBALL FIELD. For many high school Sophomore, Junior and Senior participants this will be their first showcase and for others this will be a great way to continue to show their talents and compete against the best of the best in an individual setting. It’s a chance to improve skills! A day to build your character!
This event will offer participants the opportunity to truly showcase their baseball talents in a variety of competitive drills and events. The Grindstone Charity Classic will also provide some great educational discussion led by some of the best area College Coaches and Professional Baseball Players former and Current. They will make sure you know what it takes to fulfill your dreams on the diamond. Majority of proceeds from The GCC will be donated to W.A.G.S. 4 KIDS – an organization that trains and matches service dogs that provide therapeutic, emotional and physical support for children with disabilities and their families.
Players will have the unique opportunity to meet, greet, see and be seen by over 15 Scouts representing Professional and College (D1, D2, D3 and JUCO) Teams! PRO SCOUTS ATTENDING: N.Y.METS, TEXAS RANGERS. College Scouts Attending: BALDWIN WALLACE UNIVERSITY, LAKE ERIE COLLEGE, LAKELAND COMMUNITY COLLEGE, MARIETTA COLLEGE, MIAMI UNIVERSITY, NOTRE DAME COLLEGE, OTTERBEIN UNIVERSITY, SINCLAIR COLLEGE, TIFFIN UNIVERSITY, UNIVERSITY OF MOUNT UNION, WABASH COLLEGE, WALSH UNIVERSITY, YOUNGSTOWN STATE UNIVERSITY
In partnership with W.A.G.S. 4 Kids, ESPN Cleveland and other partners, Food & Beverages will be provided for all Coaches & Scouts throughout the day. Registration is $110 and includes an online player profile, GCC Jersey and the chance to be seen and scouted! Player evaluations will be identified and ranked on the GCC website FREE for one year! BEREA MIDPARK H.S. BASEBALL FIELD is located at 165 E. Bagley Road, Berea, Ohio.
